Have you heard the news? Paradise Pier is becoming Pixar Pier! The area will open with four themed neighborhoods, renovated rides, and new attractions!
Incredibles Neighborhood
This neighborhood will house the new “Incredicoaster”. This coaster will be the California Screamin’ ride completely transformed to fit the theme, and will open in the summer of 2018. The ride will feature a mid-century modern-style loading area, new character meet and greets, and renovated ride vehicles. California Screamin’ will run for the last time on January 8th.
Toy Story Neighborhood
The Toy Story neighborhood will include the popular Toy Story Mania! ride and other Toy Story themed shops. There are limited details released about this neighborhood but we can expect to see theming similar to the Toy Story Land coming to WDW this summer.
Inside Out Neighborhood
This neighborhood will be found on the western side of the boardwalk and will feature a new family-friendly attraction, scheduled to open at a later date. The ride concept art seems similar to Flik’s Flyers, but no details are released as to what it will officially be.
Fourth Neighborhood
The fourth neighborhood will celebrate characters form many favorite Pixar movies. In this neighborhood, Mickey’s Fun Wheel will be revamped with a new look. The Mickey face will stay the same, but the 24 gondolas will feature different Pixar characters. At the Games of the Boardwalk, the Bullseye Stallion Stampede game will remain and other midway games will be built featuring Pixar Characters. These close January 8th for the transformation. Ariel’s Grotto restaurant and Cove Bar will be transformed into a new lounge and grill with views of the bay and pier.
Paradise Park
The remaining areas of the land that are currently a part of Paradise Pier will become Paradise Park. This includes the Paradise Gardens, Silly Symphony Swings, Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Goofy’s Sky School, GOlden Zephyr, and the Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure.
