These days, it’s not too rare of an occurrence that Disney does something so well that it blows up on social media. The Figment popcorn bucket. The Confectionary build-your-own popcorn. And now, the Animal Kingdom ice cream sandwich. It’s 1/3 cookie dough, 1/3 ice cream, 1/3 brownie and it is as good as it sounds. Here’s what you need to know if you’re hoping to get it.
Where to Get It
You can find this at “Terra Treats” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This permanent booth is located across from Creature Comforts (Starbucks) just before the entrance to Africa. This is the only spot on Disney property that this is currently being sold.

How Much Does It Cost
The ice cream sandwich costs $8.29. It’s a good size, larger than the standard ice cream sandwich you may get in the store. It’s also perfect for sharing, as it’s not only a big portion but also very sweet. It comes prewrapped in a wax paper (and it’s not factory sealed, so I don’t know how they are making this but it feels fresh!)

Other Things to Know
When we showed up at the end of March, there was a line extending all the way over the bridge to Africa. I told you – this is that popular. That being said, the line moved quickly and we didn’t wait more than 15 minutes. Nearby, there is a rock wall to sit on and some standing only tables outside of the Creature Comforts.

Is the Hype Real?
The hype is real. This thing is actually very good. Is it the best dessert at Disney? Definitely not. But it is a great option. The brownie and vanilla ice cream combination are delicious. The cookie dough texture is great and has a slight sea salt taste. Our biggest notes were that the cookie dough felt a little bland. But overall – highly recommend trying this and sharing it!
